Fute F500 Alkali-resistant Sealing Primer
Product manual |
Use |
Fute F500 is a very good alkali-resistant closed primer. Scientifically configured from premium emulsions and selected pigments and fillers. It can well seal the porous degradable surface, and can minimize the phenomenon of white crystalline salt or panning that migrates to the surface through the coating system, thereby improving the protection and decorative performance of the entire coating.
|
Fute F500 alkali-resistant primer can be used for coating on the surface of the wall substrate to provide excellent system adhesion, integrity and long-term displacement. As a sealing paint, it can form a protective barrier on the alkaline substrate to prevent the substrate from reacting with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thereby reducing the formation of white crystalline salts and pan-alkaline; this phenomenon usually occurs in newly constructed highly alkaline concrete surface.
Note: If the surface of the base layer is brittle and powdery, it is recommended to use special F501 super-penetrating sealing primer.

Features, advantages |
Performance guide |
Super water resistance, can prevent external moisture from entering the wall.
Super shout resistance. Can maximize the performance of the coating.
Excellent resistance to salting out, reducing erosion of the topcoat.
Excellent adhesion, to ensure the topcoat is intact and uniform water adhesion, low VOC, environmentally friendly.
|
The base surface of the concrete or mortar needs to be cured before the coating is applied to reduce the initial alkalinity of the substrate and allow salt to migrate to the surface and dissipate. The pan-alkali phenomenon is a water-insoluble calcium carbonate formed by the reaction of calcium hydroxide ("free lime", a by-product of cement hydration) and carbon dioxide. To avoid this chemical reaction, the entry of carbon dioxide or the migration of alkalis to the surface must be blocked, preferably both.
Fluorite F500 alkali-resistant primer can form a surface barrier to prevent carbon dioxide from reacting with free lime on the substrate, and at the same time form a barrier layer to prevent alkali migration.

Health, safety and environmental information
|
All new concrete surfaces must be completely cured and the wall must have a moisture content of less than 14% and a pH of less than 10 before painting.
The substrate must be cured, clean, intact, and free of any contaminants such as oil, mold releases, mortar spatters, mold and algae. Irregularities and protrusions on the surface must be repaired to keep it flush with the surrounding surface. Metal objects on the surface, tying wires, etc. must be removed or rust-proofed.
All old surfaces: Remove the loose paint film and thoroughly remove defective surfaces such as mold, bulging, cracking and chalking, and repair the defects.
For powdered or brittle substrates, it is recommended to use Oxyte F501 super strong penetration sealing primer. For best performance this product is not recommended for dilution.
Painting steps and tools:
Can be applied by roller coating, conventional spraying or airless spraying. Corners can be applied by brushing.
|
Protective equipment: Personal protective equipment: Protective glasses should be worn, and a suitable filter spray protective mask should be worn when sanding and spraying with sandpaper.
Spills:
All spills should be covered with soil or sand. Do not pour paint from the tank into drains or drains. Dispose of used paint in accordance with local environmental regulations.
Health effects:
If it gets in your eyes, it can irritate the glasses and cause discomfort. If inhaled during spraying, it will cause respiratory system discomfort.
Ensure adequate ventilation during coating and drying.
