FTZinc-Rich303
Product description |
Surface treatment |
F303 fluorine special epoxy zinc-rich primer is a high-performance, two-component zinc-rich primer, which can form a hard and wear-resistant paint film, and provide cathodic corrosion protection for steel structures. Excellent adhesion to inorganic zinc. |
All surfaces must be intact, dry and clean, free of grease, dirt, mold release, curing, weathering, welding slag, loose paint films and other foreign matter.
New surface: In order to make the paint performance better, the surface of the steel should be sandblasted to meet the Sa2.5 level standard, and the surface roughness is equivalent to No. 3 and BN10a of the Rugotest standard. There should be no sand or dust on the surface. Paint immediately after sandblasting to prevent the surface from rusting or contaminating again.
Old paint surface: The old paint film must be completely removed, and then surface treated with reference to the new surface, at least sandblasted to SSPC-SP10 or SSI-Sa21 / 2.

Specification data |
F303 epoxy zinc-rich primer can be used as workshop primer, can be applied to bare steel surface in new construction or major maintenance works, and can also be used as a field maintenance primer, applied to bare steel or already coated with organic or inorganic Zinc primer surface. The topcoat can be painted with epoxy series, chlorinated rubber series, acrylic series, polyurethane series paint. Can be used for repair of self or inorganic zinc primer. Can be used on steel surfaces in moderate to severe corrosive environments. |

Construction instructions
Recoating interval: The recoating interval is related to the subsequent exposure to the environment. The recoating interval at 20 ° C is shown in the following table:
If the maximum recoating interval is exceeded, the surface of the primer should be roughened to ensure adhesion between the paint films. Before re-coating the polluted environment, apply high-pressure fresh water to thoroughly clean the surface and allow it to dry. In addition, a hard brush should be used to remove zinc corrosion (white rust).
Precautions
Ensuring good ventilation in all enclosed areas is of great significance to the safety and performance of the constructors. It is recommended to ventilate the storage tank in two steps. First, pump fresh and dry air into all parts of the storage tank, especially in areas where air cannot flow. Second, use the explosion-proof exhaust fan to extract the solvent vapor in the lowest area of the tank. During the entire application and drying process of the paint, fresh air must be continuously pumped to extract the solvent vapor in the lowest area of the tank to ensure that the solvent completely evaporates from the paint film. The paint film of the storage tank must be cured for 7 days (25 ° C) under ventilation. The lower the temperature, the longer the curing time.
