1. Product Description
FT-C series fluorocarbon coatings are room temperature curing fluorocarbon coatings mainly composed of fluoroalkene vinyl ether (FEVE) as the film-forming material. This product has three major advantages that other room temperature coatings cannot match: excellent corrosion resistance, super strong weather resistance (can be used outdoors for more than 20 years), and stain resistance. It is currently one of the best performing new building materials known.
II. Application Fields
FT-C series room temperature fluorocarbon coatings can be sprayed, roller coated, or brushed, with good decorative properties and rich colors. Can be used for repairing fluorocarbon curtain wall panels and profiles; It can also be painted on large locomotives, construction machinery, machine tools, bridges, drilling platforms, fences, aluminum alloy curtain walls, TV towers, sports stadiums, building cement walls, and used for decoration in restaurants, clean rooms, food factories, pharmaceutical factories, hospitals, and other places. It has the characteristics of energy conservation and convenient construction. Its service life is up to 20 years, comparable to PVDF coating.
III. Composition of Product System
This series of fluorocarbon coatings includes various functional primers, intermediate paints, topcoats, varnishes, curing agents, diluents, etc.
IV. Common Construction Techniques

A. Primer construction parameters
Mixing ratio: Primer: Primer curing agent=100:7 (weight ratio) or actual supply ratio
Mixing: Mix mechanically for 5-10 minutes until uniform.
.
Tool cleaning: All tools must be cleaned thoroughly with FT-9 after use.
Diluent: FT-9
Activation period:≥ 2h (25 ℃)
Construction process
After mixing the primer evenly according to the above ratio, spray (brush) the primer. If applied to heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, the film thickness should be above 50um, and the intermediate coat can only be sprayed after an interval of 18-24 hours.
B. Intermediate paint construction parameters
Mixing ratio: Intermediate paint: curing agent=100:15 (weight ratio) or according to the actual supply ratio
Mixing: Stir mechanically for 5-10 minutes until uniform.
Tool cleaning: All tools must be cleaned with FT-10 after use.
Diluent: FT-10
Activation period:≥ 2h (25 ℃)
Construction process
After mixing the intermediate paint evenly according to the above ratio, spray (brush) the intermediate paint. If applied to heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, the thickness requirement is above 80um, and the topcoat can only be sprayed after an interval of 18-24 hours.
C. Topcoat construction parameters
Mixing ratio: Paint (FT-CXXXXX): Topcoat curing agent=100:7 (weight ratio) or actual supply ratio
Mixing: Stir mechanically for 5-10 minutes until uniform.
.
Tool cleaning: All tools must be cleaned thoroughly with FT-9 after use.
Diluent: FT-9
Activation period:≥ 2h (25 ℃)
Construction process
The surface of the intermediate paint can be directly coated with the topcoat without obvious dust, impurities, etc. The topcoat should be mixed evenly according to the above ratio and sprayed (brushed). If applied to heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, the thickness requirement is above 50um.
D. Attention
The surface of the substrate must be intact, dry, clean, and free of grease, dirt, release agents, cured materials, weathered materials, welding slag, loose paint film, and other foreign objects. If necessary, the substrate can be pre treated with F178 sealing primer before applying the primer, intermediate paint, and topcoat.
During the construction process, it is strictly prohibited to come into contact with water. Construction is not recommended when the humidity exceeds 85%. The curing agent should be kept dry during storage. The activation period will be significantly shortened during construction in high temperature weather. Once the paint becomes thicker, it should be re mixed. If spraying technology is used and the film thickness is low, the construction interval between coatings only needs the previous coating to be dry and non stick to the hands. After the coating is applied, the curing period at room temperature is 7-14 days, and it can also be accelerated by curing at a low temperature of 50-80 ℃.
Fifth, Product Execution Standards:
Refer to and meet the performance requirements in the industry standard HG/T3792-2014..
